GFL player signs NFL contract with the Arizona Cardinals -
Glendale/Cologne - For football professional Moubarek Djeri of the Cologne Crocodiles, the trip in the United States was successful. The 22-year-old signed after an invitation for a tryout now a contract with the Arizona Cardinals and can fulfill a dream - to be one of the rare selected players who will fight from September on in the NFL for an entry into the Super Bowl.
In the past GFL season, the defensive lineman drew attention with 12 sacks, 40 tackles and two forced fumbles.
The fact that a German player from a GFL team prevails over the almost uncountable competitors from the US in a tryout also shows the strength of the domestic league.
