EFL: Milano Seamen after victory first EFL Bowl finalist – 49-3 against Thonon
Milan - The Milano Seamen had reason to celebrate on Saturday night: the Italian champions defeated the Thonon Black Panthers in the final Group B game in front of more than 1,000 spectators at Stadio BREDA with 49-3 and reached as first team the EFL Bowl.
From the start on, the Seamen showed their ambition to reach the final. After a 14-3 lead in the first quarter, the Italians put three more touchdowns on the score board in the second game section. So it was clear latest at half time that the victory of the host cannot be taken.
In the last two sections of the game followed another touchdown of the Italians to the final score of 49-3.
For the Black Panthers from France it was the second defeat in the second group game and the end in this year's competition.
The Milano Seamen now has the chance to win the EFL Bowl at the weekend of the 9th/10th of June. The opponent will be determined on May 27th in the last game of Group A between the Potsdam Royals and the Calanda Broncos.
