The Sundevils gained the chance to take on the reigning National Champions
by winning away from home in the quarter final against Northern Conference
runners up the Gateshead Senators. Their 6-3 victory set up an all Southern Conference clash in this Semi Final.

The teams know eachother well and this promises to be an excellent contest
and a tough test for both clubs. The Knights won both of the regular season
games on their way to the Southern Conference Championship. The 14-6 home
win was a very close game that provided a lot of excitement for the crowd
and although the Knights won by a greater score (28-0) in the rematch in
Southampton, it was no less of a contest.

Head Coach Steve Rains said "This is play off and sudden death football -
that makes it very different from the regular season games. Both teams know
that one win will see them on the stage for the biggest game in British
American Football - The Britbowl - and I am sure neither team intends to
give up that chance lightly. This will be a great game and we hope as many
people as possible will come along to support our bid to get back to the
final to defend our National Championship"

The Knights Youth team will host a controlled practice 5 on 5 game against
the Essex Spartans Youth team prior to the Senior game kick off. They start
at 12 midday for 1 hour - come and see the Knights of the future in action - then time for refeshment at the bar before the big game at 2-30pm!
